Activity with Dinosaurs
Materials needed:
Toy dinosaurs of different colour, size and type.
With a group of 4 or 5 children, show children dinosaurs. Explain that they'll be grouping by colour. Once colours are done have them group by size. Ask children, especially older ones how else we can group the dinosaurs. More than likely someone will suggest grouping them by types of dinosaurs. Talk about different types of dinosaurs then, while they're grouping. See if they know any names of dinosaurs. Talk about what they used to eat and how scientists believe that they used to live.
