Baked Beans
(Cooked in the slow cooker)
1 bag dried Great Northern Beans, rinsed
½ onion, chopped
1 pkg salt pork, chopped
½ bottle chili sauce
½ cup molasses
1 tbsp cider vinegar
2 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp sea salt and pepper
½ cup brown sugar
In large sauce pan, cover beans with 12 cups water. Let stand overnight.
Drain beans, cover again with water and bring to a boil. Cover and
simmer for 30 minutes. Drain beans and place onion, salt pork,
chili sauce, molasses, cider vinegar, dry mustard, sea salt, pepper,
and brown sugar in slow cooker and cook for 6 hours.
