Danish Meatballs with Dill Sauce
1 lb each, lean ground beef and ground pork
2 tsp salt
1 tsp freshly ground pepper
1/3 cup finely chopped green onions
½ cup whipping cream
1 cup oatmeal
½ cup butter
¼ cup flour
2 cups chicken broth
2 cups sour cream
1 tsp each, lemon pepper and freeze-dried chives
1 tbsp freeze-dried dill
In a large bowl, mix ground beef and pork, salt and pepper, eggs, green
onions and whipping cream. Form into 1 inch meatballs. Bake at
375° F for 30 minutes. In large skillet melt butter. Add flour and chicken
broth. Stir until thick and bubbly. Add sour cream, lemon pepper, chives
and dill. Add meatballs, cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
