Humpty Dumpty
My son and I once made up a happier ending for Humpty Dumpty. I think my son was 4 or 5 at the time. Carol Hibbs



Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall.
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the King's horses and all the King's men
Couldn't put Humpty together again

But...

Humpty Dumpty was slightly hard-boiled.
Humpty Dumpty was never quite spoiled.
They bandaged him up
They gave him tea, in a cup
And then they fed him some angel food cake.
