                                              Grateful
                                                 2009

This has taken me a long time to rewrite. I’ve wanted to do this for a year now! I’m busier than I’ve ever been before. Ever! I’m very grateful for that but it seems I’m never bored. There’s no opportunity to ever be bored. Grateful maybe is the wrong word…sometimes I wish I had a moment to be bored. Sometimes….

September 5, 2008 I got married. I’ve never been married before. I am beyond grateful for my husband, Michael. We met by chance and married on faith. We’re still happy with each other.

I now have 2 jobs instead of 1. I’m grateful for the extra income but, as always, I’m wishing for more time. Often Mike works opposite shifts than I do. I’m grateful we both have jobs and I wish for more time together…but then sometimes I’m grateful for ‘Me Time.’

We’re living in a much bigger apartment now. We’ve been living here for 4 months. We’ve unpacked and we’re trying to organize better. Will and Scott are still living with us and they’re still not out partying and getting into trouble. They’re 16 and 20 and I don’t worry about what they’re up too. Very Grateful! They like Mike too. Isn’t that just wonderful?

Princess, our cat, had a large tumor removed from her ovaries last October. I am forever grateful to Dr. Bingham for saving her. She had been crying for 2 weeks. I thought she was depressed because of the transition. Mike said we should bring her to the Vet. I’m so grateful we did. Princess likes Mike too.

I’m still grateful for what we can learn and what we can do with what we learn. Opportunities are great. Time limits are not! Maybe someday I’ll be grateful for them too. My family has a new goal in mind or maybe one might call it a new adventure. I’ll write a blurb in the new year and disclose what’s happening. Hopefully we can make this work! I will be forever grateful if we can make this happen. It has to do with opportunity. Being grateful for so many opportunities is always never-ending!
I’m 40 years old now. I’m not sure how I feel about that. I can still walk, move and take care of myself. I’m very thankful for that. I don’t know how much longer I’ll be able to do all that though. For the rest of my life I'll continue to fight, work hard, challenge myself and keep my brain and body active. I guess that's all I can do. I hope I can make it to 60...80 actually. We'll see.
